About Lakeway
Situated on the south shore of Lake Travis in Travis County, Lakeway is a city approximately 20 miles northwest of Austin. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 15,981, up from 11,391 in 2010. Originally developed as a retirement community, Lakeway has become a popular area for families and boasts numerous outdoor recreational activities, including golf courses and marinas.
